Role Description
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll play a critical role in identifying, qualifying, and fueling a strong pipeline of business opportunities that drive revenue growth across multiple industries. Responsibilities include lead generation through market research and sales campaigns. Telephone calls, data entry, appointment setting, and clerical support to the sales team.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial Insurance Sales, Insurance, and Insurance Brokerage
- Finance-related skills and knowledge
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Licensed to sell insurance in the state of Texas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Duties
· Enter lead lists and individual prospects into information management systems
· Make cold calls to prospective clients to acquire policy expiration dates
· Send cold calls to prospective clients to gather interest levels in insurance
· Prequalify prospective clients with agency client profile criteria
· Cross-reference new acquired lead information to update and maintain data in CRM
· Schedule sales and renewal appointments for Producers
· Create marketing letters and campaigns
· Generate reports to show sales progress and metrics
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Experience cold calling and getting appointments preferred
· Knowledge or experience with a CRM (HubSpot) is preferred
· Knowledge or experience with a Google Workspace & Slack preferred
· Ability to set priorities, work independently and manage workday to meet goals
· Pleasant and clear phone voice and excellent phone etiquette
· Ability to close sales appointments and possesses a sales mentality
· Maintain cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts
· Maintain confidentiality of all client and proprietary information
· Utilize and manage technical products, applications, and passwords
