Physical Therapy Billing & AR Specialist

• Perform hands-on billing for Physical Therapy services, including preparing and submitting insurance claims.
• Submit and manage claims using Heno and/or Tebra; Heno experience is strongly preferred.
• Review claims for accuracy and ensure required patient and insurance information is complete before submission.
• Follow up with insurance companies regarding claim status, pending payments, denials, and outstanding balances.
• Perform insurance calling and communicate effectively with insurance representatives to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and collections to ensure timely payment.
• Identify outstanding and unpaid claims and take appropriate action to collect payments.
• Research and resolve claim denials, rejected claims, and billing discrepancies.
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Maintain accurate billing, payment, and AR records.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to track claims, payments, outstanding balances, collections, and billing activity.
• Navigate multiple billing, insurance, and healthcare systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with providers and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Manage multiple billing and AR priorities while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-up.
