Responsibilities:
Complete detailed protection and control design packages encompassing single line protection and metering diagrams, three lines, logic diagrams, schematics, relay panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Review engineered outputs to ensure compliance with project defined scopes and client requirements.
Develop and maintain project specific bill of materials.
Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
Ensure design components conform to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
Interface with senior personnel to resolve potential technical and project issues.
Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of protective relaying: principles and applications
5+ years of experience in P&C design for the North American Market
Strong interpersonal and an extreme attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication skills in English are a must.
Solid base knowledge of electrical theory and mathematics.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IEEE, NEC,CEC, , NFPA etc.)
