Policies and Procedures
- Follow policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop new procedures as necessary, documenting all steps for approval by management and addition to procedure manual, for future use.
Systems & Server Management

Manage all hosts running Windows Server 2025 Datacenter

Manage and maintain all virtual machines (currently Windows Server 2019)

Plan and execute upgrades of VM servers to Windows Server 2026

Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems and infrastructure
Virtualization & Microsoft Stack
Install, configure, and manage Windows System Center tools (SCVMM, SCCM, etc.)
- Build, manage, and deploy VM server templates

Manage and support Windows RDS servers

Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenance
Security
Maintain a security-first mindset
Protect the network from intrusion and data compromise at all times
Work with management, employees, and developers to ensure security compliance
Active Directory

Manage Active Directory, security groups, and access controls

Create, maintain, and enforce Group Policies (GPOs)

Implement security best practices, including backups, firewalls, and access policies

Networking & Infrastructure

Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and routers

Troubleshoot network and server-related issues

Ensure proper documentation of systems and configurations
Automation
Develop Powershell scripts to automate tasks and integrate with internal systems
Build procedures which utilize scripts
Troubleshooting
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems

Perform root cause analysis for production issues
