The Solar Ads Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns that drive high-quality leads and conversions for a solar energy company. This role requires expertise in digital ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube, etc.), a strong understanding of the solar industry, and data-driven decision-making to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
Deliverables- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Campaign Strategy & Planning
- Develop comprehensive paid advertising strategies aligned with the company’s lead generation and sales goals.
- Research target audiences, market trends, and competitor ad strategies within the solar industry.
- Plan media budgets across multiple platforms (Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
- 2. Campaign Creation & Management
- Create, launch, and manage PPC and paid social campaigns for solar products and services.
- Write compelling ad copy, choose visuals, and design creatives that attract qualified solar leads.
- Set up conversion tracking, UTM parameters, and pixel integrations across all platforms.
- 3. Optimization & Performance Tracking
- Monitor daily performance and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
- Adjust targeting, bidding, and creatives based on performance data and KPIs.
- A/B test ad creatives, landing pages, and audience segments.
- Manage lead quality by collaborating with the sales team to ensure accurate tracking from ad click to closed deal.
- 4. Analytics & Reporting
- Track key metrics such as CPL (Cost per Lead), CPA (Cost per Acquisition), CTR, and ROAS.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve campaign results.
- 5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Work closely with the marketing team on messaging consistency across ads, landing pages, and email campaigns.
- Coordinate with the sales team to align ad campaigns with regional solar promotions or incentives.
- Collaborate with content creators and designers to produce high-performing ad creatives and videos.
- 6. Compliance & Industry Awareness
- Ensure all advertising complies with solar marketing regulations and platform policies.
- Stay updated with changes in digital advertising tools, algorithms, and solar industry trends.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Required:
- 2–5 years of experience managing paid ads (preferably in solar, renewable energy, or home services).
- Proven track record of generating high-quality leads through paid channels.
- Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM and lead management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel)
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of solar incentives, financing options, and customer journey.
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and content marketing strategies.
- Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certification.
